Here are links to great informational sites by people a whole lot
smarter than us.
Vital information
The
Secular Web
Christian apologists got you
tripped up with their well-crafted arguments? Can't tell an Ontological argument
for the existence of God from a Transcendental one? Then get all your answers
here. An absolutely amazing, searchable compendium of essays and debates concerning
religion and free thought, with rebuttals from both sides. A great resource to
help clear up the confusion.
Talkorigins
Do creation vs. evolution debates go over your head? Ours too. That's why we leave it to the experts at talkorigins.org.
Ebon Musings
Don't let the funny name throw you off, this is a treasure trove of information from a very smart and thoughtful guy, and a great writer (we hate him). Extremely well researched and documented, yet eminently readable. We recommend starting with his excellent article on morality.
Dr.
Zach's Evolution 101 podcast
The definitive primer on evolution, by a real microbiologist working in the
field. Clearly defines evolution, and the molecular-biological evidence for
it. Perfect for the lay person, and anyone wanting to know what evolution is
and is not.
Letters from Leavers
From what started as a school research project at Fuller Theological Seminary, Tim and Jason have created a provocative site that contains letters written by people who have left their church, or otherwise have challenges with their faith.
Directory Religion
An up and coming directory of religion websites.
Debate forums
A
Christian and an Atheist forum
Emery's forum, that he hosts with his Christian buddy Norton. It
complements their podcast, but is open to all who is interested in
dialogue between Christians and atheists.
Christianboard.com's
apologetics section
Here you will find Emery fighting
the good fight with a mostly Christian crowd, but they welcome
debate. Not as big as some of the others, more homey but well
put together,
and a good place to test your views. Stop on by, look for Emery's
posts and give him some moral support (or tell him in public
why
he's all washed up).
-Note: hackers got to this site (when God wasn't watching),
and I think they lost all their old messages, including the ones
I wrote. Drat. Or maybe that's a good thing.
Theology
Online
THE 900 pound gorilla of the Christian vs. non-Christian debate
message boards. Also a chance for Christians to debate eachother.
Highly
recommended, but be prepared to stay a while.
Theologyweb
Another big site to debate Christians and skeptics. Very nicely
done, but can take a while to load, especially on
Emery's 1996 Power Computing Mac.
Fun
yet provocative stuff
Landover
Baptist Church
See what these ex-Liberty Baptist College hoodlums are up to.
Church signs
A hilarious collection of actual church signs, plus a church
sign generator, to make your own. The source of all the funny
church signs you see on our site.
